Do you repair any make / type of TV?

Leading brands can be repaired but some lower brand TV’s are not. We recommend you call us first to discuss your options.

I am looking for information on how to repair my TV myself?

This is not the right site for you. Please do not even think about it unless you are a qualified TV Engineer. There is usually a label on the back of your TV saying that “Only a qualified engineer should open this set.” It is there for a very good reason. Very dangerous voltages can be present even with the set turned off! Most repairs will cost you less than a new a tyre for your car, is your life worth so little?

I am not certain whether to repair my equipment or just buy a new one?

This is the 2nd most common question we are asked. Firstly, it does not benefit us to repair an item at excessive cost to you, you will never call back and we need to maintain our excellent reputation. Secondly, we don’t do anything without your approval. We will always discuss the fault and cost with you before you are presented a bill.

Thirdly, we will give you an honest opinion as if it were our own equipment taking into account age, condition and estimated cost of repair, as to whether to recommend repair or replacement.

Can you set up my new equipment for me?

Yes. If you are having trouble with your new LCD TV, LED TV or Plasma TV, then we can come to your home, set up your system and explain how your new equipment works. Call us for a price guide on cost for this service. Rest assured it will be cheaper and friendlier than contacting the supplier!

My TV is not working properly. Is there anything I can do myself?

Yes. Please read the instructions for your piece of equipment. Check all the connections. Usually there is a troubleshooting page. If the fault turns out just to be a loose plug, then unfortunately, there will still be a charge.

I have a real fault on my TV, now what?

Easiest thing to do is to phone us and explain the problem. Please have the Make & Model of the unit you have a fault with. This will give us a chance to look it up on our database and hopefully, we will be able to give you an idea of the cost of repair. If not, we will have to look at the unit and phone you back with a diagnosis and price.

How long will the repair take?

This depends on the fault. If we can, we like to turn around jobs under 24 hours. Common parts, not in stock, means a few days delay. Occasionally, parts have to be obtained which are ‘out of stock’ with our suppliers / manufacturers, in which case we will keep you informed of the likely repair date.

Can you repair my equipment at home?

Not usually, unless it is a known, simple fault. This is because we are unable to carry all the spares and equipment that may be required to cover all makes & models of all types of equipment. We can arrange to come to your home or office and pick up your television or one of our outlet stores are available for you to drop it of there. We have 44 outlets in Melbourne that you can go to, Airport west, Altona, Bayswater, Berwick, Blackburn, Boronia, Box hill, Brighton, Brunswick, Bullen, Caulfield, Coburg, Craigieburn, Cranbourne, Dandenong, Deer Park, Diamond Creek, Eltham, Epping, Essendon, Flemington, Footscray, Frankston, Geelong, Glen Iris, Glenroy, Greensborough, Hampton, Highett, Ivanhoe, Kew, Lilydale, Malvern, Melton, Mornington Peninsula, Moorabbin, Mt Waverly, Murrumbeena, Noble Park, Nunawading, Oakleigh, Oakleigh South, Prahran, Preston, Reservoir, Ringwood, Rowville, South Melbourne, Spotswood, St Albans, St Kilda, Sunbury, Sunshine, Surry Hills, Vermont, Watsonia, Werribee, Yarraville.

If you collect my unit, do I pay extra call out fee?

Not if you are local to Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula and Geelong. However we do recommend you call us first and discuss your repair with us, this would make sure that the TV is cost effective to fix prior to us coming out.

Do you guarantee the repair?

Yes. Usually a three months warranty is given but only on the specific repair that has been carried out. Occasionally, the term may be shorter or longer depending on the parts used. For example; A replacement new TV tube comes with a one year warranty.
